Last night was bath night at the Bastyr home. Depending on what activity preceeds bathtime, will usually tell you how bathtime will go. Well everyone was ready. Daddy showered and then the boys got in mom's shower and played. We did not appreciate being washed. Though the rule is wash first and then you can play as long as you want, or until mom needs to get you out because I have other things to do. So Bennie did not want to get out. No No No Mom. So that is when I employ the sillies. Kisses on the belly, peek-a-boo, and exciting Lightening McQueen Shirts that he can wear.
So we are all dried off and I hear Tucker yell from across the hall, "Bennie, you can come and get dressed in my room!" No Tuck that's ok Mommy will help Bennie get dressed Thank You though. So we are putting one leg after another in the pull up and then the shirt, and right after the shirt comes down, Bennie's arms wrap around me with a kiss on the lips and he says, "Mommy, I love you.......you are my BEST friend" My whole body and soul melted. Wow my almost 3 year old is getting SO old!! What am I to do, and will he always love me and think I am his Best Friend. Like when he cannot go to that party or I force him into OU??? GO SOONERS!!!
Well anyway I just wanted to share that cutest of mommy moments with you. It made me glad to be Bennie Roger's mommy!! Love you Babies!! Tucker have a blessed first day of school!
